At one point, the Waukegan Harbor lighthouse had an elevated walk made of wrought iron posts and

          galvanized wire rope. In 1967 a ire destroyed the fog signal building and the lantern room of the
          lighthouse. Today there’s an open light (exposed beacon) where the lens used to be located.  The tower
          is 35 feet tall. This photo was taken August 23, 2016.     Notice the Graiti.
