Masons a built a 25-foot x 37-foot two story brick dwelling with attached light tower. Sherwood point is
unique in that it is the only Door County lighthouse built with red brick rather than limestone or
cream-colored brick. Atop the tower, the crew assembled a 10-sided cast iron lantern. The height of the
tower from base to top of the lantern was 35-feet
